Learning in a Group

Group Therapy is designed to allow your child to build confidence, develop friendships, and socialize with peers in the community to improve their quality of life.

Group Therapy can be provided in conjunction with one-on-one therapy or as a stand alone. Children of all ages and skill levels can benefit from group therapy.

Your child will be assessed on their current social skill level. We then place your child in a group of peers, typically comprised of 2 - 5 children, with similar interests and skill levels. An individualized plan is developed to help your child learn social skills to use during play and group activities. Our highly-skilled therapists work with and guide the group to help promote group problem solving, collaborative discussions, and following instructions in a group.
